Seven Sisters chalk cliffs on Sussex coast

ABOUT THE PIANO TRIO

Sussex. A land of deep traditions, beautiful landscapes and ancient history; rich in creativity.

We have chosen to celebrate this glorious land in our repertoire, by playing masterpieces from modern Sussex composers, as a foil to works from the established piano trio canon.

We have performed beautiful but rarely heard works by Sussex composers such as Frank Bridge, Howard Blake & Gillian Carcas.

We gave our first performance in October 1999. Since then we have received numerous invitations to play at venues throughout the South-East.

We enjoyed working with Howard Blake (composer of 'The Snowman') on producing an entire programme of his music. At the premiere Howard acted as compère.

More recently we have been collaborating with Sussex composer Gillian Carcas and gave the world premiere of a new work by her - 'Beside the lake at Taize'.

We prepare and present programmes for concert societies, schools and hospices and aim to 'tailor-make' events suitable for all tastes.
